a walk on the Wye side

Being stranded in Wales, thanks to the much loved air traffic controllers of France, does have its advantages.

Ok, maybe not many, but this last fortnight has seen many sunny days allowing me to partake in one of my favourite pastimes.

I also had time to do some walking…

It’s a seriously beautiful time of year in the Wye Valley, with flowers of all kinds clamouring for attention, although the blues win.

The other thing that grabs your attention are the ruins…
and the pubs…
and a few trees.
Not bad for a valley that was the very first tourist destination in Victorian times.
