Uganda/Rwanda day 1

The first day or two of hols like this normally consists of some mindless queuing, mindless waiting, and mindless officialdom intermingled with the occasional momentary panic when you realise you may be in the wrong queue/room/country…

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll all be pleased to hear that we arrived safely in Entebbe via Paris and Adis Ababa albeit in the usual state of sleep deprivation. Why is it that I can sleep just about anywhere except on a long-haul plane trip? Trying to doze off in front of some kid who spends the whole trip making a noise like a Dalek having an hysterical bout of giggling probably didn’t help, nor did the constant ringing of the call button by some jerk.

After settling in to the Boma hotel in Entebbe, we had a wander around the neighbouring botanical gardens where we did some tree spotting…

…with assorted animal life.

Nice.

Next on the agenda…sleep.
